A
few days it was reported that Anurag Kashyap is keen to make a
woman-centric film titled 'Womaniya'. It was said that Taapsee Pannu and
Kriti Sanon might feature in the film. But over a few days, there is
news that Kriti Sanon has walked out of the project.
A source close to the film shared that "As per Kriti's schedule, she was supposed to start shooting for 'Housefull 4' and 'Panipat' after finishing 'Arjun Patiala', so with a choco-bloc year for the actress, she did not have the dates that the makers now wanted. Hence, they had to decide to move on from their first choice."
Now, according to a report by a tabloid, Bhumi Pednekar has been approached for the same. A source close to the project revealed that Bhumi is currently reading the script and is yet to sign the dotted lines.
However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement for the same. After the announcement, the makers will begin prepping for the film.
'Womaniya' will reportedly be based on the real-life women sharpshooters Prakashi and Chandro Tomar.
